Originally started as a portable welding service, it quickly grew to include a custom metal fabrication shop. Incorporated in 1988, with Gary F. Acker as President, the “shop” was moved to a building located on Highway P at “Springfield Corners.”
In 1996, the current site was acquired and the main facility located at 7265 State Road 19, Waunakee, Wisconsin was built. The new building offers over 12,000 square feet of manufacturing space, including a large service bay with overhead cranes, and a dedicated manufacturing area. This move allowed for further expansion of the business. In 2000, a crane truck was added to the mobile service fleet, which added the capability of structural steel delivery and installation. By 2001, further expansion was required and a separate building housing a full service 3,000 square foot paint building facility was added.
